| Southend - Highland Games |
| Evening Event - 5.30pm to 10pm at Hotel Park behind Argyll Hotel Southend. Heavyweights and Solo Piping + stalls. Resume of the Highland Games:- It is very child friendly, with lots of races of various types for the under 14s. Heavy weight and Junior classes including ladies races and broom throwing, and a combination of Kintyre Pipe Band doing the march on and playing during the evening. There is also a licensed bar, with Frances at Muneroy Tearooms open throughout the evening for meals, snacks, teas and coffees, again with a full licence. |
